Welcome to the 2025-2026 School year!
As I being my third year as Principal of Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary School, home of the Bulldogs. I am incredibly honored and excited to support and cultivate a school where learning thrives and emotional wellness matters. I feel very fortunate to continue this journey with dedicated students, passionate staff, and supportive families that have come together to “Build up our Community one Brick by Brick.”
Emerson has an amazing office staff, wonderful Transitional Kindergarten/CHDV to 6th grade teachers, superb special education staff, fantastic classroom instructional aides, a supportive school counselor, great supervision aides, incredible custodians, and the Woodcraft Rangers after school to help you!
The entire staff at Emerson is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and caring community for your children each day while providing them with an exceptional learning environment. We strive for professional growth through the development of instructional practices, enhancing school culture, and implementing strategies to engage all students.
As partners in your child’s education, I invite you to support your children’s educational experience at Emerson Elementary School. Here are some things you can do at home:
- Ensure your child attends school daily and arrives on time, ready to learn. Attendance is an important part of your child’s daily school experience.
- Support classwork and homework expectations.
- Read at least 20 minutes daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.
- Ask your child about their school experiences, daily.
- Create a routine at home for healthy child development e.g. guided access to screen time, a consistent bedtime routine, etc.
- Lessen screen time and discuss the importance of technology safety.
I value open communication and collaboration with all members of the school community. I am confident that together, we will create a truly enriching and supportive school experience for our students, and each other. As we prepare for the first day of school on August 21st, 2025, I find myself filled with enthusiasm and anticipation. Let us embark on this exciting journey of “Building up our Community Brick by Brick.”
I cannot wait to see you all on the first day of school, stay tuned for events and activities through the year. Stay connected through Parent Square and connect with us on Instagram @weareemersonbulldogs
