Welcome!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!  My name is Mrs. Ratuita or Mrs. "R" and this is my 20th year teaching in the Garvey School District.  Over the last 20 years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach Kindergarten, 1st grade and for the last four years Transitional Kindergarten.  I graduated from Cal State University of Fullerton and received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies in December of 1999 and completed my Multiple Subject Credential in 2002.  I believe that it's important to establish a fun, safe and happy learning environment in order for our children to thrive.  In our classroom, we focus on having a growth mindset that empowers our students to be responsible decision makers, empathetic towards others, problem solvers and lifelong learners.  I look forward to being your child's teacher and working together with you this year!
