Principal's Message

Dear Emerson Students, Parents/Guardians, and Community,

Welcome to the 2019-20 school year! I hope each and every one of you had a restful, rejuvenating summer! I am very excited to begin my second year as principal with all the amazing students, parents, teachers, and staff at Emerson Elementary. I feel very fortunate to work at a school with such an enthusiastic and prideful community.

Emerson Elementary is a great place to go to school. Our primary goal is to prepare students for middle and high school, college, and beyond by developing essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors in a safe, supportive environment. Our teachers and staff are determined to deliver relevant, engaging curriculum and instruction while building strong relationships with all students and their families.

You play an essential role in your child’s education. We encourage you to get involved in the school community through our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), School Site Council (SSC), or one of the many groups aimed at improving our school. If you are interested in learning more about how you can participate, please do not hesitate to contact the Emerson School office at (626) 307-3333.

I look forward to the great year ahead! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, and/or ideas you would like to discuss. You can find me most mornings greeting students at the front gate. Your feedback and support are essential to our continued improvement.

The first day of school is August 22! I look forward to seeing you!

Go Bulldogs!
